Little Buds Childcare
Little Buds Childcare established in 2014 by Bernice Gardiner. Little Buds is a fun and educational Full Day Care service. We cater for children aged from 2 years and 8 months right up until they have completed 6th class of Primary School.
We offer a home from home, play based experience, where we aim to engage our children with activities to stimulate all areas of their development.
With our friendly team who are highly qualified in Early Years Education, we are experienced in meeting the individual needs of each family. You can rest assured that your child is safe, secure, and happy while in our care.

Bernice Gardiner
Manager/Owner
Bernice holds a BA (hons) Degree in Childhood Studies (Level 8) obtained from Leeds Metropolitan University, as well as an up to date Paediatric First Aid certificate, Fire Safety certificate, Manual Handling certificate, and a Child Protection certificate.
Michelle Smith
Deputy Manager, ECCE Teacher& Afterschool Leader
Michelle earned her BA Degree Early Childhood Teaching and Learning (level 8) from Maynooth University. Also holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate, Fire Safety certificate, Manual Handling certificate and a Child Protection certificate.
Grainne O'Connor
ECCE Teacher & Full Day Care Leader
Grainne obtained her BA (hons) Degree Early Childhood Education and Care (Level8) from Dundalk Institute of Technology, Other qualifications include a Paediatric First Aid certificate, Fire Safety certificate, Manual Handling certificate and a Child Protection certificate.
Jennifer Sheenan
ECCE Teacher & Inclusion Officer
Jennifer obtained her Supervision in Childcare (Level 6) FETAC and Diploma in Montessori Teaching from Portabello. Other certifications include Paediatric First Aid certificate, Fire Safety certificate, Manual Handling certificate, a Child Protection certificate and completed the LINC Programme.
Eva Duffy
ECCE Teacher
Eva has a Diploma in Montessori Teaching from Portabello (Level6) FETAC and also holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate, Fire Safety certificate, Manual Handling certificate and a Child Protection certificate
Sinead O’Reilly

You can enroll your child from 2.8years
The opening hours of our service are as follows:
- Full day service – Monday to Friday – 8.00am – 6.00pm
- Breakfast Club Monday to Friday – 8.00am – 9.00am
- Preschool service – Monday to Friday – 9.00am – 12.00pm
- Afterschool service – Monday to Friday – 1.30pm – 6.00pm
Please note that children are not permitted entry to the service :
- Before 8am for full day care/breakfast club.
- Children are not permitted entry to preschool before 9am. This is to ensure that our insurance and staff child ratios are always adhered to.
- Late fee will be applied should your child not be collected by closing time of 6pm for full day care or 12pm for preschool.
Yes! We are there for you during school holidays days and midterms breaks, subject to availability, of course! Do contact us as soon as you have an idea of your schedule or when you need our services. We are always happy to accommodate
Unfortunately, due to current Covid restrictions, we cannot offer trial days. However do contact us if you want to discuss other alternatives.
